Chamber Music Program

Chamber Music is at the core of all that Bay Chamber Concerts and Music School stands for. Since our founding our mission has been to present chamber music in intimate and welcoming settings throughout mid-coast Maine.

The 2019-20 Chamber Music Program offers participants the opportunity to play in small ensemble settings with their friends and to perform in public settings as available and where there’s interest. New this year, in addition to weekly coaching, workshops will be offered each semester to focus on particular skills and techniques specifically related to chamber groups.

Coaches for the coming year include: Sophie Davis, Brianna Fischler, Nate Martin, Deirdre McClure, Elizabeth Moore and Colin Wheatley. Interested musicians, of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate. In order to place musicians in the appropriate level group and assign the music that best suits the ensemble, coaches will consult with your private lesson instructor. If you are not currently studying with a private teacher, one of our coaches will be in touch with you directly.

Students who take private lessons at Bay Chamber Music School are entitled to participate in ONE chamber group per semester for FREE. If a Bay Chamber Music School student would like to participate in more than one ensemble, tuition will be charged. For current tuition rates at the music school please refer to our Group Registration Form on the side bar.
