Winner of the Andrew Wolf Chamber Music Award and the Naumberg and Geneva competitions, pianist Gilles Vonsattel, an artist of startling virtuosity and expressiveness, is joined by the "dazzling" and "brilliant" (New York Times) oboist, James Austin Smith and the transcendent Rolston String Quartet, who electrified Bay Chamber audiences last summer. Their glowing opening night program kindles our impassioned and light-filled 2018 season.

FREE Pre-Concert Talks with Anthony Antolini
Bay Chamber Concerts is thrilled to announce that Bowdoin music professor Anthony Antolini will present free pre-concert talks from 6-7pm on Thursday evenings July 12, 19, 26 & August 2, 9 and 16 in the Recital Hall at the Bay Chamber Music School. Come to one or come to all; each talk will cover the repertoire to be presented in the Rockport Opera House concert that evening at 7:30pm. Prof. Antolini returns to Bay Chamber Concerts after having taught the enormously popular "Enjoying Chamber Music" lecture series for many years. He is the Director of the Bowdoin Chorus, Mozart Mentors Orchestra and Down East Singers.
