Lullaby Project Celebration

Wednesday, Apr 10, 2019, 6:30pm

Union Hall, Rockport

On February 3, 2019 we launched our 5th Annual Lullaby Project, in partnership with Wayfinder School’s Passages Program and Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute.

The Lullaby Project pairs pregnant women and new mothers and fathers with members of the Bay Chamber Music School faculty and other guest artists to write and sing personal lullabies for their babies. This year we are proud to work with Maya French, Brianna Fischler, Elizabeth Moore and Nate Martin, who in addition to serving on our faculty are also members of Palaver Strings. We also invited the Oshima Brothers, Jaime and Sean, to join us for the songwriting and recording workshops.

On Wednesday, April 10 at 6:30PM we will offer a free concert to the community, The Lullaby Project Celebration, which will feature our faculty, members of Palaver Strings and the Oshima Brothers. In addition to playing this year’s lullabies, they will perform lullaby inspired works from several genres of music. Come join us of this moving and celebratory evening appropriate for all ages!
