Early Childhood Music Education
Monday, Sep 24, 2018, 10:00am
Bay Chamber Music School, Rockport
Classes involve singing from different musical cultures, rhythmic chanting, movement, and play. Support from parents and caretakers helps to make this a bonding experience with their children and to allow for musical learning at home. The class will be loosely based on Music Learning Theory, a curriculum designed to teach music in the same way that a child learns language.
Music is a powerful tool that can enrich lives through joy and individual connection. The purpose of this class is to immerse children ages birth through 5 years old in a fun and rich musical environment, to build their musical vocabulary, and to create a strong musical foundation while fostering the bond between parent and child as well as children and their peers.
