The Next Generation Youth Chamber Music Program was established in 1990 to encourage young Maine musicians to participate in chamber music. The program brings approximately 50 musicians to Rockport for intensive chamber music study and performance. In addition to their work with renowned chamber musicians, students develop their musical skills in sight singing and Eurhythmics.

Each year Bay Chamber Concerts host scores of exceptionally talented young chamber musicians from Maine at the Next Generation Youth Chamber Music Program. This concert is the culmination of their week-long program.
