Come join members of the Muir Quartet, guest coaches, and a group of amateur adult musicians for a 4-day chamber music workshop October 8-11, 2010 in Rockport, Maine. The program is open to strings players, pianists and pre-formed wind ensembles.

fall foliageParticipants will study the great chamber music repertoire with fellow enthusiasts, be coached by some of the country's finest chamber musicians, and have the opportunity for a private performance in the historic Rockport Opera House.

The Fall Foliage Chamber Music Weekend takes place during the peak of the autumn color season in beautiful Midcoast Maine. Views of the Penobscot Bay and Camden Hills beckon you. As a Fall Foliage participant you are treated to Bay Chamber Concerts' legendary hospitality, including rehearsals and festivities in gracious private homes and guided walks in the surrounding countryside.

The Artistic Director since the inception of the program in 2001 is Michael Reynolds, cellist of the Muir Quartet. Coaching faculty for the 2010 Fall Foliage Weekend includes Reynolds and fellow Muir quartet member Peter Zazofsky, violin; Bayla Keyes, professor of violin at Boston University and member of Triple Helix, piano trio in residence at Wellesley College; violist Maria Lambros of the Mendelssohn Quartet and the Peabody Conservatory; pianist Cary Lewis, member of the Lanier Trio and recently retired from the faculty of Georgia State University in Atlanta; and Marc Johnson, cellist with the Vermeer Quartet and faculty member at Boston University.
