The Passacaglia in C Minor is one of Bach’s most well-known organ works. Among the many adaptations of this piece are the colorful orchestral arrangements by Leopold Stokowski and Ottorino Respighi, and it is a perennial favorite of concert organists and audiences alike. The 20 variations and concluding double-fugue present the ideal opportunity to explore the wide variety of sounds available on a great pipe organ.
