“The young, Israeli-born pianist Inon Barnatan is a true poet of the keyboard: refined, searching, unfailingly communicative. .... His exemplary reading of the Sonata is invested with world-weariness and autumnal resignation, but he responds also to the brighter moments of the third and fourth movements with keenly articulated, meticulously phrased playing. His handling of the Impromptus is second to none: this is musicianship of the highest calibre.”
